Reset Prism Central Password From Command Line

Are you using Nutanix Prism Central appliance and want to reset password in case of forgotten password. Don’t worry i will help out to reset Prism Central Password.

Prism central is the single pane of gilas to manage multi-cluster from single web-console. Prism central can manage multi Nutanix Acropolis clusters to register them on Prism central.

Therefore it is very important to register your all prism elements cluster with prism central to manage all prism element cluster from single windows.

Reset Prism Central Password

Follow steps

Step 1 : Log into with SSH in Prism Central VM using putty client

Default Credentials of Prism Central VM

User id : nutanix
Password : nutanix/4u

Step 2 : Run following command to reset Prism Central Password

pcvm$ ncli user reset-password user-name="admin" password="Enter_New_Password"

Now, Nutanix Prism Central Password is reset.!

Step 3 : Open browser and re-login to Prism Central web console with new password.
