Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( HPE ) is now selling Nutanix certified DX appliance after to become Nutanix authorized channel partner to sellout the Nutanix OS software as bundled in new hyper-converged HCI hardware series known as HPE DX appliance with preinstalled Nutanix AOS and AHV hypervisor in HPE DX appliance servers.
HPE and Nutanix Partnership
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Nutanix Enterprise cloud Company announced a cloud partnership to deliver an integrated hybrid cloud as a Service (aaS) solution to give tough competition to other cloud vendors.
This offering will leverage Nutanix’s Enterprise Cloud OS software including its built-in, free AHV hypervisor to provide customers with a fully HPE managed hybrid cloud that dramatically lowers total cost of ownership and accelerates time to value.
HPE DX Hardware Compatibility
HPE DX hardware series is fully tested and certified with Nutanix to run Nutanix Enterprise Cloud OS software. Those HPE customers want to leverage the Nutanix HCI – Hyper-converged Infrastructure technology on HPE hardware then they can go with HPE DX appliance and run the Nutanix core software AOS and AHV to run any application.
HPE Certified Server Model
HPE has two server models are tested and certified with Nutanix
- ProLiant
- Apollo
HPE ProLian and Apollo customers receive the same Nutanix compute, storage, virtualization and network functionality as receive on other Nutanix certified hardware.

Technical support service will provide on product vendor basis :
HPE : HPE will take care of any DX appliance Hardware related issues like Memory, CPU, Motherboard, Power supply unit etc. along with hardware warranty as well.
Nutanix : Nutanix will take care of native software piece i.e Nutanix core software AOS , AHV and add-on product(s) or services like AFS, CALM, Karbon etc, purchased as per license term.

Conclusion
Nutanix and HPE partnerships shows good business future for both of them because HPE is has its own market value and customer base world wide.
HPE has its own HCI product known as Simlyvity But HPE DX appliance will boom the HPE business with Nutanix HCI tag value.
